Situated in the Northern Hotel Zone less than 5 km from the downtown Malecón oceanside walkway, this resort is both familyand turtle-friendly.
The lobby is distinguished by a giant palapa 30 meters (98 feet) tall, which includes a rock-garden waterfall and stream. The resort attracts families seeking casual, open-air beach vacations. Part of the resort’s beachfront is roped off to protect sunbathing guests from being solicited by wandering beach vendors.
A heated free-form pool with swim-up bar and jetted section flows into a separate children's section. The resort's deep, 100-meter (109-yd) beach is furnished with thatched-roof palapas for shade. The resort maintains a fenced-in nursery on the beach for hatching endangered-turtle eggs during the nesting season. When turtles hatch (July-January), guests assist in releasing them into the sea. |

Televisions offer video games and Internet access via wireless keyboards (surcharges) as well as pay movies. Renovated in 2004-05, rooms feature a contemporary decor of cream-colored walls and ceiling, tan-marble floors and bathrooms, white and emerald-green bedding including multiple pillows, and walnut-colored furniture.
